Suzanne’s story

“We didn’t find Newbold Comyn properly until we got our first dog.”

Even though Suzanne was born and bred in Leamington, she didn’t discover the Comyn until she got her first dog – 25 years ago!

We called it ‘the muddy place’

When we first started going there, it was winter time and we’d usually cross the wooden bridge at the Radford Road entrance. My oldest son, who is now 28, used to call it ‘the muddy place’.

We’ve had so much fun over the years finding new paths and places to walk.

It’s always been my go to place when struggling with my mental health. It was also the first place I went when I lost my brother suddenly aged 54. I felt like I needed to be there.

There’s enough space if you want to be on your own – and enough people to interact with if you don’t.
